Based on the well-known Jacks or Better video poker game, Super Jackpot Bonus video poker takes things up a notch with a special progressive jackpot and Bonus poker payout percentages.

We have reviewed the Amaya Gaming version of Super Jackpot Bonus video poker and compiled this little descriptive piece to give you an overview of what to expect. We are also here to help you understand the basic rules of Super Jackpot Bonus video poker.

Super Jackpot Bonus Video Poker Basics

As mentioned, Super Jackpot Bonus video poker is based on Jacks or Better, in which payouts are awarded for hands containing a pair of jacks or better. The Super Jackpot Bonus is almost identical to Jacks or Better and differs only in two, albeit important, respects.

  • The Royal Flush Jackpot

In addition to its standard Jacks or Better format, Super Jackpot Bonus video poker features a special progressive jackpot that players can win by landing a Royal Flush. The progressive jackpot will always be a minimum of 4000.00 credits but may grow even larger as the game progresses.

To compensate for this progressive jackpot, the Super Jackpot Bonus pay table is adjusted for Full House and Flush payouts but only very slightly.

Note that players must wager the full five coins to be eligible for the Super Jackpot Bonus Royal Flush progressive jackpot.

  • The Bonus Percentage

Super Jackpot Bonus also differs from Jacks or Better in that it awards a bonus percentage of 16.96% of the wager or hand for every returned discard. Returned discards are cards that players have discarded but which end up being dealt to them again.

Discards are indicated in the top right-hand corner of the screen and returns are marked with gold stars.

Amaya’s Betting Limits

The betting limits on the Amaya version of Super Jackpot Bonus are very broad, starting at 0.01 and going up to 20.00 credits per coin, with players able to wager between one and five coins. Remember, however, that players must wager all five coins in order to qualify for the Super Jackpot Bonus progressive jackpot.

Standard Super Jackpot Bonus Payouts

In addition to the Super Jackpot Bonus progressive payout, players are awarded payouts for all of the usual Jacks or Better ranked poker hands as follows:

  • Straight Flush: 250
  • Four of a kind: 125
  • Full House: 40
  • Flush: 25
  • Straight: 20
  • Three of a Kind: 15
  • Two pair: 10
  • Jacks or Better: 5

Amaya Super Jackpot Bonus Graphics

The Amaya version of Super Jackpot Bonus video poker is fairly simple yet slick and professional in terms of visuals.

The colour scheme is made up of metallic greys and black, with the exception of one or two highlighted buttons and the flashy “Super Jackpot” logo at the top of the screen. The size of the progressive jackpot is indicated just beneath the logo.

The five cards are neatly spread across the centre of the screen, with a hold button under each of them. Under the cards, the Super Jackpot Bonus video poker paytable is indicated, with all other buttons displayed right at the very bottom.
